TESDA Courses Offered Pasig City

imagesUpon its creation thru Republic Act 7796, the Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority or TESDA became the lead agency in promoting TVET or
Technical Vocational Education and Training. TESDA agency’s main task is to
manage and supervise Technical Education and Skills Development (TESD) in the
Philippines. The agency also sets direction, formulates training standards, and
carry out programs to assure the quality of technical education and skills
development and certification system are at par with international standards.
But before a training center can offer a TVET program or course, the training
center must comply with TESDA’s registration requirements. This is to ensure
that the training center will comply with the minimum requirements under the
agency’s training regulations.

In Pasig City, a number of TESDA accredited schools or training centers are
offering a variety of training courses. You can avail of the training they
offer for free but you need to be one of the early enrollees because there are
only limited slots available and it is offered on a first come first serve
basis. If you run out of allotted slots for free training, you can still enroll
in a private educational institution provided you a recipient of any of the

TESDA Approved Courses Pasay City

downloadPasay City is composed of seven (7) districts divided into twenty (20) Zones,
and a total of 200 Barangays and more than 40 TESDA accredited schools and
training centers with TESDA approved courses Pasay City. All of these schools
and training centers offer free training courses to qualified Filipinos who
need to upgrade or acquire new technical vocational skills. The free training
offered by the agency is in response to the growing need to provide equitable
access to technical vocational education and training and there are four
training modalities to effective disseminate the TVET programs of TESDA agency
and they are:

School Based Programs

The school based programs is composed of courses with different training
duration but not exceeding 3 years. These programs are directly delivered by
TESDA administered schools which are mostly agricultural, fishery, and trade
schools.

Center Based Programs

This program is being managed by TESDA agency regional and provincial training
centers together with their industry partners. These partners are the ones who
shoulder all the training expenses including the repair and maintenance of the
training facilities as well as the purchase and handling of all the equipments
needed for the effective delivery of training.

Community Based Programs

This training program is specifically tailored for the poor and marginalized
members of the community who don’t have the means to avail of formal training given by schools or training centers. This program is also aimed at facilitating the creation of livelihood enterprises that shall be implemented by the trainees themselves after they completed their training.

Enterprise Based Programs

The Enterprise Based Programs are training programs that are being undertaken by companies. At present, there are three (3) programs that are enterprise based and they are the following:

  • Apprenticeship Program
  • Learnership Program
  • Dual Training System

TESDA Language Courses Free Training

downloadTESDA is currently offering Filipinos who are high school graduates and at least 18 years old to avail of the TESDA Language Courses Free Training. These free language courses are being offered by National Language Skills Institute or NLSI located in every region of the country. The available free language courses offered by the agency are:

TESDA Language Courses Offered

  • Basic Japanese Language and Culture
  • Basic Mandarin Chinese Language and Culture
  • Basic Arabic Language and Saudi/Gulf Culture
  • Basic Spanish Language for Different Vocations
  • English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers

For the Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and English Proficiency courses, the training duration required by TESDA is 100 hours each and 150 hours for the Japanese Language and Culture. The schedule of training for the said free language training courses will be from Monday to Friday and there will be 2 sessions each day. The first training session is from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM while the second training session will be from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
